[!]
WINNER OF ANTM CYCLE 13

YAY! GO NICOLE FOX!
*****

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON FINALE FOR THIS SEASON!
I don't know who to root for - while I really love Nicole's pictures, I think I would be really sad for Laura if she didn't win, just because of her life story and all (not that it's tragic or anything, but it would seem that winning will impact her life much more than Nicole's). Was so torn between Laura and Jennifer when Tyra was calling out the name for the final spot. When will there be an ASIAN top model?! I doubt Laura would have made it to the final 2 if there was a final 3; she would have definately screwed up the covergirl commercial.

On a seperate note: UGH! There's going to be a recall for 203 tonight, cheese pie. Shall muck around at home, waiting for some phone call or sms before I head back out for the evening. Of all the times to do a recall, seriously?! A FRIDAY NIGHT!? !#%&@$^*

POPIAH PARTY ♥ [Nov. 8th 2009, Sunday|10:46 am]
[Tags|]
[Venue |Tina's House, Tampines Mall]
[Mood | bored]
[Music |Beyonce - Halo]

UPDATED*
ZOMG (as put by our resident Ah Lian, C J LEOW), this is the first time I'm actually blogging from camp. Not that there's anything particularly exciting about it, just that I'm usually never this free. But, I'm currently bored out of my mind since there's practically nothing for me to do on a weekend shift. Henceforth, I decided to update about yesterday's
05V12 POPIAH PARTY
which was totally awesome and fun and hilarious, as all our other parties have been, LOL.
Next gathering = Vanessa's House (:
Ha-ha, hopefully we can have it before Ben starts OCS and when Louis returns from Taiwan. Sighs, their army life seems so much more interesting than mine. Ha-ha, it must the monotonous pattern of shift life talking, shall refuse to dwell on that since there's still close to 1½ years to go! BLERGH!!!

For the first time in a really really really long time, I was actually NOT the earliest to reach Leu's house, ha-ha. I was what, 20 minutes late(?), and 4 people had already arrived before me! Freaking miracle I tell you, but it's a good thing that I wasn't extravagantly late (ended up cabbing due to the absurd weather) because I would have missed out on our little road trip to Tampines 1 for bubble tea, like coughs* LOO YONG HUI ISABELLE *coughs XD

PEEKCHURES )

Entertainment of the night = mah-jong and Louis's various decks of cards (Bean Game, Munchkin, Citadel), I think we're getting bored of Wii, ha-ha even though Loo supposedly wanted to play Raving Rabbits and Teo wanted to EXERCISE. We were so engrossed with strategizing and negotiations that we couldn't focus on gossiping at all, ha-ha. Started dinner early since we had an early meeting time that day. So despite the fact that there were late comers, everyone still arrived in time to have their fair share of POPIAH and KONG BA PAO (: Maybe one day I'll host my own POPIAH PARTY, or some other form of food party that my mother can help prepare XD
MAYBE...

With stupid examinations around the corner, people had to leave early to go home and mug and stuff. The rest of us who were either in the army or not in the mood to mug loaded up into Tina's SUV for ice cream at Tampines Swensons. YAY for free ice cream coupons that Si Hui stole received from who-knows-where.

ENROUTE TO TAMPINES MALL

TAMPINES SWENSONS

Ended the night relatively early because for some strange reason, everyone was tired, including myself (could be due to the fact that I had to crawl out of bed early for a hair cut appointment, but who knows). Besides, I had to report to camp the next day anyway... UGH*

Anyway, I'll upload the pictures soon (by Monday, hopefully) once I get home and edit the rest of them. There's a total of 40++ pictures and I'll be uploading some to Flickr for easy dissemination, ha-ha. The rest will eventually be up on Facebook, so if you see anything you want on Facebook that isn't on Flickr, let me know and I'll send it over on MSN.
Okay, back to sleep my day away or watch TV or something... Wheeeee~

I'm Still Alive [Nov. 3rd 2009, Tuesday|02:28 pm]

[Music |Michael Buble - Haven't Met You Yet]

UPDATE:// MOTHER CHEESEPIE! MY CPU WENT BONKERS AGAIN! UGH, I HATE MY COMPUTER!

In keeping with the promise I made (to myself at least) to try and keep this place relatively updated, I shall try my best to churn out an entry by the end of the afternoon. To be frank, nothing much has happened since I last updated. Went out a couple of times, met up with a few friends and chatted the time away - nothing particularly out of the norm. And I believe that I have reached the point of blogging whereby I think a blow by blow account of what happened would truly bore any reader I have, to DEATH. So instead, I think for once in a really long time, I’ll just blog about what I found interesting or interestingly uninteresting, ha-ha (can those two words even be used in the same sentence?)

First off, what is the big deal about Popeye’s Chicken? Had that for dinner one day a while back with Foo and Chia at Century Square; wanted to have BillyBombers but they actually closed the restaurant to open yet another fast food outlet. Look out Singapore, we’re on our way to being as obese as the Americans, and I can be your new face for morbid obesity. Against my better judgement, I caved and agreed to have dinner there. Nothing really spectacular about the food, seriously; it was even bothering on BAD. The only difference it has to KFC are the side dishes, the option of fish (and you always have Long John’s) and the choice of paying 50 cents more so that you get 2 pieces of breast meat instead of 2 measly drumsticks. I can safely say that I won’t be going back there any time soon to eat. UGH!

In more amusing news, I recently signed up for a Safra Gym Membership at Tampines.

Okay, now that you’ve had a good laugh (hell, even I did after I made the payment) I shall go on about my gym experiences. In an effort to fit the paunch, which is growing by the day if I may add, I actually did something I never thought I’d do (which is sign up for a gym membership, duh). I’ve lost SOME weight after signing up, but I’m not entirely sure if it has anything to do with the gym. Not been having much of an appetite recently and perhaps that’s what making me lose some weight – hopefully I’m becoming anorexic, ha-ha. And the Safra Gym has a serious lack of hot people, it’s filled with really old people working to STAY in shape or really out of shape people (like yours truly) trying to GET in shape. At least I get to take comfort in the fact that we’re all suffering together, and at the end of the day, I’m doing something meaningful with my days-off rather than spending them rotting and sleeping at home.

What else is there to blog about? Well, I usually like to splash pictures in my blog entries, so here are some pictures taken on Zachary’s 19th. That was a really enjoyable day, if only I didn’t have to work the next day, we could have stayed out later. OMG, I'm so narcissitic! I realised most of the pictures I've posted are of me, but whatever, More pictures will be posted on facebook, eventually... HA-HA!

ZAC'S 19TH

ZAC'S 19TH )

I guess that’s about it? Ha-ha, told you my life was boring.
Oh I just remembered, if you can, try not to watch This Is It, unless your a HUGE fan of MJ. It wasn't anything fantastic and it actually felt like I was paying to watch a bonus feature on the DVD to his concert.

However, I guess the one thing the movie did do for me was alter my impression of MJ by just a bit. Despite his awesome songs, I use to think that he was creepy, still do actually, but the movie showed a more human side to him that I think many people couldn't see due to all the media propaganda.

Can’t even begin to express how excited I am for the 05V12 popiah-dinner-get-together-thingy this Saturday XD I find myself smiling like an idiot out of the blue these few days, ha-ha. But the pessimist in me keeps wondering when things are going to take a turn for the worse. Let’s hope that things can only get better from here on out, let’s hope :)

MONTH OF SEPTEMBER [Oct. 13th 2009, Tuesday|09:57 pm]
[Venue |Lazy to list them all...]
[Mood | hopeful]
[Music |Taylor Dayne - Love Will Lead You Back]

JONATHAN'S HOUSE

Seriously? I can’t believe that I actually went a month (plus) without updating this space. SERIOUSLY! The dust has really accumulated and this only proves how much army is draining the life out of me. Well, to be fair, it isn’t solely the armed forces to be blamed. I’ve developed a recent obsession with DOTA (very slow of me, I know) and every opportunity I get to go online is spent playing rather than updating. Moreover, I've finally kept myself semi-up-to-date with my favourite American dramas and reality shows :) Too much has happened for me to type out every single minute detail and I’m not even going to try. As such, I’m going to do a quick pictorial update with just a couple of pictures I have taken over the past month.
Ahh...the consequences of procrastinating; I would just like to say that there have been other things that have occurred which are not captured on film, but that does not in any way undermine their significance. Random outings, movies, dinner/lunch get-togethers and of course clubbing and sleepovers have filled the month of September for me.
Oh and yes, if you don’t already know, I’ve started my shift work (i.e. work 1 day off 2 days). So for this month, I’ll be working on the 15th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 27th and 30th (just in case anyone is nice enough to want to meet up or something XD). In the meantime, I shall attempt to keep this space more updated. Hopefully there’ll be things to update about, ha-ha.
PS. I WANT A CAR, BADLY :(

Stuck In A Rut [Aug. 30th 2009, Sunday|08:41 pm]
[Tags|, , , ]
[Venue |PS+AMK+Serangoon, Bugis, Zouk, MINDEF]
[Mood | still jaded]
[Music |Sara Bareilles - Love On The Rocks]

I need to develop an eating disorder ):
I’ve yet to be able to shed off the weight I’ve put on since being in the air force. Yes yes, I’ve yet to start running and I’m so ashamed of myself (at least I started using the station bike?). Sighs, I’m going to try fasting (or however you spell it) because Khalid was just telling me how much weight people lose in just one month. Okay, maybe I shouldn’t call it fasting (in case people take offence to it), more like hardcore dieting/starving, with some modifications of course, LOL. This is SO depressing! I think I should start slow with the whole exercising thing, maybe I’ll start doing the station bike on a more regular basis first before I attempt running. I miss those times in AFTC where I got to run every night since a track was so conveniently located within walking distance. UGH, I’m stuck in a rut.
Okay, I better end the rant now before it gets any worse.

I realised that I’ve been somewhat obsessing over army life and I’m determined to not let it take over. So to sum up, it sucks – filled with bipolar people, office politics, a whole lot of back stabbing and passive aggressive high ranked people who need to get a life. But I know I’ll survive it all, somehow.

(I need a more exciting weekend)
Plans to meet my platoon friends on Saturday = EPIC FAIL.
Only 4 people turned up and we didn't even have dinner together. Ended up making my way to NEBO and having dinner with Steve in the Movie Room. At least there was LAN with Dan, Xiang and Chan after that which was fun (: Played DOTA for the first time, ha-ha.
Sunday = Sleep the whole day and mope around stressing about nothing in particular. Tried downloading DOTA but it got too confusing so I gave up.
Ended up with a Sex and the City Marathon.

I think Thursday was probably the only highlight of the week; went to support Tina (briefly) at the SMU Pageant at Zouk. Arranged to meet Foo, Teo and Leow at Bugis for dinner first before we cabbed down to show Tina our support. If only the event was on a Friday or Saturday, then we would have stayed longer (left early because all of us had an early morning the next day).
EMPTIEST I’VE SEEN ZOUK, EVER.

MORE PHOTOS )

Even Friday didn’t go as planned; I wanted to crash some NUS Hall Bash or Jam Fest or whatever with the A11 people but at the very last minute, I was informed that I had to go for the ADOC 3rd Anniversary which was all the way at Bukit Gombak! I know it’s relatively close to NUS, but I had to be in Number 3 and the whole thing ended at 2100. Bummer* The event blew and was a complete waste of my time. There wasn’t even sufficient place for people to sit down and have dinner so basically, everyone just stood around the whole night, eating and waiting for it to end as soon as possible.

CANNOT WAIT FOR GRADUATION!!!
